Tamahome
Being the main love interest, there are
certain qualities one must posses.
good looks ... check
Physically strong .... check
self sacrificing ... check
Tamahome has all this and more. Falling into
the miaka curse pretty early on we all knew
he would become the main love interest, to
Hotohori fans dismay. But despite all the
good looks and charm their has to be a flaw
right? With hotohori it was his narcissism.
Nuriko, well he likes to like a girl ... not look
at them. tasuki, he just hates women in
general. So Tamahome, whats his flaw?

This guy just loves money. its all he can think about (well that and miaka).
He'll sing, he'll dance, even beat up your brother as long as you pay him. But
dont look down on tamahome for his money grubbing ways. He has a good
reason for the things he does. Being the eldest in a family is not easy,
especially when your poor. Tamahome does the jig to help feed and support
his very sick father, and four younger siblings. His mother died after the
youngest was born so after pretty much raising his youngest sister, he has a
special bond with her, and would do anything for her. In the time before he
had met miaka Tamahome was being trained under Byakko seishi Tokaki, who
had saved him from some boys who were up to no goodtaunting him about the
ogre mark that adorns his forehead. Tokaki realized that this young lad was a
suzkau seishi, and from that day tamahome became a student and learned
the ways of martial arts, and how to control his seishi power. Although all the
raining in the world would not prepare him for his future as a suzaku seishi.
Tamahome was the first to meet miaka, and treated her like a little kid.
constantly teasing her. But whenever she was in danger he wouldnt think
twice about putting his life on the line to save her. when miaka did confess
her feelings for him ,tamahome only replied with a cold answer of unrequited
love, but truly he was afraid and uncertain, not fully realizing that his
feelings for miaka were just as strong if not stronger. He was able to repent,
and tell miaka just how he felt, and their love for each other blossomed
throughout the story. There are alot of bumps in their relationship both
miaka and tamahome love each other so much and have similar personality
traits. Their approach to some situations are less then ideal. Always willing to
sacrifice themselves to spare the others feelings, they are constantly
breaking up and getting back together. This is rather annoying and perhaps
the only thing I dislike about the series. But in the end they always recant
what they have done, and once again profess their love for one another.
Tamahome is a true warrior. willing to sacrifice his life for the one he loves,
suzaku no miko.
