Fushigi yuugi began its journey in manga form back in 1992 being released in the japanese manga magazine sho-comi. the main story lasting 14 volumes was continued for another 4 volumes by popular demand, giving us a grand total of 18 volumes for the manga. in addition to being released in many languages the world over, it has also been released in Kazenban, and Bunko manga forms giving the fans many different ways to collect the story. and if that wasnt enough, 13 novels were written telling tales before (and after) their miko arrived.
