| the above text is the incantation that the miko recites during the god calling ceremony in efforts to bring forth the beast god and get her three wishes granted by intertwining with so said god. the Shi Jin Ten Chi Sho is the actually book that the miko's go forth into to arrive in the land that bring forth their destiny. Shi Jin Ten Chi Sho literally breaks down into Shi = Four Jin = Gods Ten = Sky Chi = Earth Sho = Book So a more literal translation would be the" four gods sky earth book", as apposed to the officially but less accurate "Universe of the four gods" Which was used on official merchandise due to Fushigi Yuugi having so many meanings, and to offer a little less confusion. The translation Universe of the Four gods has obviously borrowed inspiration from the Four gods sky earth book name. |
