An artist can not be more pleased when their works becomes an animated or live action series. Watase has had three of her manga series do such feats. Most of us became Watase hooked from her infamous series Fushigi yuugi, which was Watase's first series to become animated. Not only was it such a hit, but three OVA's (original video animation) followed. Fushigi yuugi became so popular it has been translated into many languages in many countries.
Following the success of Fushigi Yuugi Watase's next manga series Ayashi no ceres to became an anime series. Although a shortened version of the manga, it was beautifully animated like that of Fushigi yuugi.
And more recently ( year 2008) Watase's high school comedy Zettai Kareshi became a Japanese tv Drama (live action tv show) And was a hit among its audience.
