Ayashi no Ceres is Watase's second biggest hit manga series (right after Fushigi yuugi) Dark and mysterious, we follow Aya mikage who is about to celebrate her 16th birthday along with her twin brother Aki. The whole family is their (an odd thing) but this is no ordinary birthday party. The Mikage who as deeply mysterious roots said to be descendants from an ancient tennyo (angle) is being tested to see if Aya is the reincarnation of the ancient ancestor, who has vowed to kill all of the Mikage family until her hagaromo is returned.
A great story that develops characters from young naive individuals to strong young adults.. Aya who now lives lifeon the run goes through many obstacles to try and tame the vengance striken tennyo within. And the Mysterious man who seems to somehow be connected to all this but is suffering memory loss.
