There have been two video games released based on Watase's series, both of them from Fushigi Yuugi, one detailing events in Fushigi Yuugi Genbu Kaiden, and the second detailing events from Fushigi Yuugi. Both games are dating simulator games, where you play a "Mary sue" type character, and your decision in the game will reflect your result and inevitably  who you will end up with
The first game "Fushigi Yuugi Genbu Kaiden: Kagami No Miko" was released June 22 2005. The second game Fushigi Yuugi: Suzaku Ibun was released May 29, 2008. Both games were released for the Sony Playstation 2. Genbu Kaiden: Kagami no Miko was later re-released for the sony PSP. Both games were released in standard and imited editions..
