Okay first off, I was not a Chichiri fan until I read this novel. The novel really give a depth into his past. About his fianciee, and his best friend. And how much he hated himself for their deaths (though there was nothing he coud do about it ^_^ In the story he meets a girl with the same name as his loved one Kornan, in a beautiful village. Chichiri has all but given up on life, and she scolds him for behaving in sucha way. Long story short, the girls BF which was forced to join the Kuto army looks just like Chichiris friend that died, and they end up crossing paths. Chirchri Vowe to protect the two young lovers and wont let any harm come there way. He trains for 3 years with tai-yin-yun and builds up his power. Nakago also makes an apperance (or a few ... he is the villian in this novel ^_^' We also get to learn how he got his mask! Of course theres lots more to it ... But its a very good novel (there are a few things that were out of context and stuff) it even made me cry ... just a little though...
