About the site
Why create a site based of Fy? Probably the same reasons why you are visiting a site based on fushigi
yuugi. Piratically obsessed with the series, I've noticed in recent times that most of the fushigi yuugi sites
on the net were no longer being updated, and had long since died. My original intention was just to make a
site with information on merchandise, and I also had intended to put my focus more towards the genbu
crew. but as time went on the site mutated to what it is today.
My journey with fushigi yuugi is an odd one to say the least. Back in 2002 friends and I were trying out
new anime series, and I decided to pick up Fushigi Yuugi Eikouden ova. I had no idea what it was, just that
I was hypnotized by the cover when I saw it on the rack. I picked up the box read the description, and
since im a sucker for mythology I was totally hooked, Bought my dvd took and took it home. To say the
least, I was totally confused as to what was going on. and didnt get it at all , I still thought the animation
was pretty, so after the initial watching I had put it away and that was that.
I wasnt until a year later that I discovered the joys that is Watase. I found out about her series Ayashi no
ceres (ceres celestial legend) and was totally hooked. then I started to read her other series, except for
fushigi yuugi. By this time, I had an Idea of what the manga was about, but just kept putting the series off
for another time. Then Genbu Kaiden came out. And as I got into the second book, I finally said the heck
with it, and began my journey into the juggernaut that is Fushigi yuugi. And as I read the series and
learned more indepth information about, I learned that years prior that enchanting dvd I had bought not
knowing what was going on, was indeed fushigi yuugi.
As this websites creator, I strive my best to bring the most indepth information about the universe of the
four gods to you.

Yuu Watase was born March 5th, and has been in the manga making business for quite some time.
Her debut piece Pajama de ojama was released in 1989. Her first actually series was Shishunki
miman okotowari. And then her most recognized series Fushigi Yuugi followed. Most countires
became familiarized with Shoujo comic's through Watase's work, Watase has done many series since
the ending of fushigi yuug in the mid nineties. Just a few of the more popularized ones are: Ayashi
no ceres, Alice 19th, Imadoki, and Zettai kareshi Plus many many more. Aside from Genbu Kaiden
Watase is still pumping out many other series, and one-shot stories here and there. Please support
Watase and check out her other series!
